Developer Parity Delivered in Workstation
Workstation now delivers full coverage for workflows traditionally performed in Developer. This quarter brings multiple enhancements across project management, user management, data source configuration, project documentation and server administration––giving teams a unified, modern interface for managing their entire Strategy platform. With these updates, administrators and developers can work more efficiently, maintain cleaner environments, and make informed decisions with greater confidence.
What's included:
- Job Prioritization for Projects
- Prioritize workloads by cost and application type to optimize resource usage and control execution order.
- User & User Group Management Improvements
- Create users directly within groups, validate details more reliably, and manage email and address information with improved workflows.
- Data Source & Connection Enhancements
- Duplicate existing data sources, preserve configuration when switching drivers, and use translated names for global deployments.
- Object Dependency Search
- Identify all reports, dashboards, documents, and other objects that depend on a specific selected object for faster impact analysis.
- Project-Level Privilege Matrix
- Review and manage user and group roles across multiple projects in a single matrix view, just like in Developer. Select up to five projects and see, at a glance, which privileges each user or group holds in each project, making cross-project access governance easier and more consistent.
- Resume Projects & Purge Caches
- Resume idle projects or put them on hold, and purge project caches directly from Workstation for smoother environment operations.
- Granular Server Definition Access
- Control what level of environment access different users & groups have.
- Project Documentation & Lineage
- Generate and export documentation, visualize lineage, and understand object relationships to support audits, migrations, and change management.
