FAQ & Glossary
Quick answers to common questions and helpful definitions.
1. How many rounds are there, and how is each round structured?
The game ends after 10 rounds. Each round follows four steps: Roll Bitcoin Price, Reveal Event, Player Actions, and End of Round upkeep.
2. How much bitcoin can I sell during a Buy/Sell action?
You may sell a maximum of B5 per Buy/Sell action to the Bank. You may buy as much as your fiat allows. Some Strategy Cards modify this limit.
3. When do Mining Rigs produce bitcoin?
At the end of each round, after all players have finished their turns. Each Rig produces 1 bitcoin directly into your Hot Wallet.
4. How do Starred Strategy Cards work?
A starred (★) Strategy Card is played for free, but any action the card instructs you to take—such as executing a trade or performing a specific action listed on the card—still costs one of your two actions. The star makes the card itself free to play; it does not waive action costs that the card’s effect may require.
5. Can I trade or use bitcoin stored in my Cold Wallet?
No. Bitcoin in Cold Wallet is locked; it cannot be sold, traded, or used for debt repayment unless a Strategy Card specifically allows it. It does count double at the end of the game.
6. Do negotiating/trading or repaying debt use up a player action?
No. Negotiating/trading and repaying debt are free and can happen during your turn without spending one of your two actions. The player initiating a trade must do so on their own turn.
7. Can I take more than one Debt Card at a time?
No. You must repay your current debt (1.5× in fiat or the listed bitcoin collateral) before borrowing again. Taking on debt is high-risk—default results in elimination and returning all assets to the Bank.
8. What happens if I can’t repay my debt on time?
You must combine available fiat and Hot Wallet bitcoin, return Mining Rigs ($3k each), or negotiate with other players. Cold Wallet bitcoin cannot be used. If repayment is still impossible, you default and are eliminated from the game.
9. How does Replay Attack interact with starred (★) Strategy Cards?
If you duplicate a starred Strategy Card with Replay Attack, the copied effect also counts as starred and does not cost an action.
10. How many Strategy Cards can I hold?
You may hold up to 4 Strategy Cards. If you already have 4 and can’t play any, you may discard one to the bottom of the deck and draw a new card instead of taking an action.
11. Can I move bitcoin from Cold Wallet back to Hot Wallet?
No. Moving bitcoin to Cold Wallet is permanent unless a Strategy Card explicitly allows retrieval.
12. When do I draw Strategy Cards?
At the end of each round, every player draws one Strategy Card if they currently hold fewer than four.
13. Are Mining Rig purchases limited?
Yes. You may buy only one Mining Rig per round, even if you gain additional buying opportunities through Strategy Cards.
