Support Expiration Schedule for Platform Versions 7.5

Due to the release of MicroStrategy 8.0, which includes product versions 8.0 and newer, MicroStrategy Technical Support is announcing the scheduled support expiration for products that are part of the MicroStrategy 7i Business Intelligence platform.

On November 20, 2006, MicroStrategy 7.5 would have been fully supported for three years. This length of term is similar to support periods for prior MicroStrategy versions and adheres to MicroStrategy's and other application vendors' policies and procedures. The MicroStrategy Product Support Expiration Schedule can be accessed on the MicroStrategy website.

On November 20, 2006, MicroStrategy will no longer support inquiries or provide software corrections for the following products, their associated components, editions, patches, service packs, and hotfixes:

  • MicroStrategy Administrator™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Architect™ 7.5x
  • MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Developer Kit™ 7.5x
  • MicroStrategy Desktop™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Intelligence Server™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy OLAP Services™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy MDX Adapter™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Report Services™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Software Development Kit™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Distributable Runtime Environment 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Transactor™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Tutorial 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy eTrainer™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Web™ 7.5.x
  • MicroStrategy Web Services ™ 7.5.x

MicroStrategy's goals in implementing this expiration are to allow us to focus our efforts toward current and future versions of our products, retool our system resources in order to support the latest and best versions, and increase customer satisfaction by ensuring that our Technical Support personnel are well trained and up to date on the latest MicroStrategy products and technologies.

All customers with current maintenance plans are eligible to upgrade to the equivalent MicroStrategy 8.0 products. These products are available on CD and via the MicroStrategy Download Site for customers with valid MicroStrategy Support Site accounts. We encourage customers to upgrade to the latest version of the MicroStrategy platform available, which is MicroStrategy 8.0.1. As such, we encourage you to take advantage of the hundreds of new features and corrected issues that MicroStrategy 8.0.1 offers.
