Support Expiration
Schedule for Platform Versions 7.2 and 7.3
Due to the release of MicroStrategy 7.5.x, which includes
product versions 7.5.0 and higher, MicroStrategy Technical
Support is announcing the scheduled expiration for several
products that are part of the MicroStrategy 7 Business Intelligence
platform.
We will expire support for the following MicroStrategy
7i - 7.2.x and 7.3.x products and their respective
service packs, hotfixes, and patches one year from this
notification. On July 15, 2005, MicroStrategy will no longer
support inquiries or provide software corrections for the
following products and their associated components:
- MicroStrategy Administrator™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Desktop™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Intelligence Server™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy OLAP Services™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy MDX Adapter™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Software Development Kit™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Software Development Kit, Java Edition
7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Distributable Runtime Environment 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Transactor™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Analytics Modules 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Tutorial 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy eTrainer™ 7.2.x
- MicroStrategy Web Universal™ 7.3.x
MicroStrategy's goals in implementing this expiration are
to allow us to focus our efforts toward current and future
versions of our products, retool our system resources in
order to support the latest and best versions, and increase
customer satisfaction by ensuring that our Technical Support
personnel are well trained and up to date on the latest
MicroStrategy products and technologies.
All customers with current maintenance plans are eligible
to upgrade to the equivalent MicroStrategy 7.5.x
products. These products are available on CD and via the
MicroStrategy
Download Site for customers with valid MicroStrategy
Support Site accounts. We encourage customers to upgrade
to the latest version of the MicroStrategy platform
available. As such, we encourage you to take advantage of
the hundreds of new features and corrected issues that MicroStrategy
7.5.x offers.
Migration planning and implementation services are available
through MicroStrategy Consulting and can be requested through
your Account Manager. If you have specific technical questions
