MicroStrategy Portlets for IBM WebSphere Portal

Business Intelligence allows organizations to retrieve answers from volumes of data in order to make proactive, actionable decisions. The MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Platform provides an unparalleled analytical engine that allows customers to Monitor, Report and Analyze their data over a fully integrated 64-bit architecture. IBM WebSphere Portal customers now have the ability to leverage the power and analytical sophistication of the MicroStrategy BI Platform through a single, familiar Web interface.

The MicroStrategy Portal Integration Kit (PIK) now includes portlets that provide a starting point for developers looking to incorporate MicroStrategy reporting and BI functionality into an enterprise portal such as IBM WebSphere Portal. The PIK also comes equipped with sample source code and documentation to give developers a head-start on integrating MicroStrategy into IBM WebSphere Portal.

MicroStrategy Portlets

  • MicroStrategy Report Portlet enables users to display any MicroStrategy Report within IBM WebSphere Portal. Customers can point this portlet to an existing MicroStrategy report and instantly leverage all the formatting and end user interactivity.
  • MicroStrategy Folder Portlet enables users to display any MicroStrategy Folder within IBM WebSphere Portal. Customers can point to any MicroStrategy folder, click on a report and execute it within the context of a portal.
  • MicroStrategy Search Portlet enables users to search for a MicroStrategy Report within MicroStrategy metadata. Customers can conduct a basic or advanced search, click on a report from the search results, and execute the report within the context of a portal.
  • MicroStrategy History List Portlet enables users to execute a report that has been previously run from its cache within IBM WebSphere Portal.
  • MicroStrategy Subscription Portlet enables users to subscribe to any MicroStrategy report of their choosing within IBM WebSphere Portal. Users can set their own schedule for report delivery through an intuitive self-subscription interface.
  • MicroStrategy Report Services Portlet enables users to link or embed any Report Services document within IBM WebSphere Portal.
  • MicroStrategy Web Portlet enables users to showcase any or all of the MicroStrategy Web functionality within IBM WebSphere Portal. Customer can browse through various projects or various folders and execute a report within the context of a portal.
  • MicroStrategy Document Portlet enables users to run an HTML document containing multiple MicroStrategy reports and dashboards within IBM WebSphere Portal.
