Focus Area CertificationsMicroStrategy's Focus Area Certifications provide comprehensive training for the most common roles within a development team. Each Focus Area Certification consists of several standard courses coupled with a written exam. Individuals can choose to attend all the prerequisites courses needed continuously or take the prerequisite courses incrementally over time. Once an individual has acquired the prerequisite knowledge needed, they can take the exam to attain certification status in a proficiency area. If an individual feels they have the required knowledge to pass the exam without formal classroom instruction, they can go directly to the MicroStrategy Testing Day to take the required exam. Passing of the exam grants an individual certification in a focus area. Candidates must attain 75% or higher to pass a focus area certification exam. If another attempt is necessary, the candidate must attain 85% or higher on subsequent retake exams. A candidate can return for up to three attempts on a focus area certification exam within the same 12-month period. If the candidate fails a third attempt on a focus area certification exam, they must wait at least three months before they schedule another retake exam. We strongly urge them to (re)take the prerequisite instructor-led courses (or online courses if available) before they return for their fourth attempt. If the candidate fails a fourth attempt, they must again wait three months before they schedule another retake exam. This continues so long as they keep failing. »Download all Certification Program Agendas Frequently Asked Questions:
