MicroStrategy Certified Engineer (MCE) Program
The MicroStrategy
Certified Engineer (MCE) Program
affirms an individual's knowledge of building an end-to-end BI solution
from project design to report creation to environment configuration and
set-up. If an individual wishes to become certified on the entire life
cycle of MicroStrategy development, they can attend the three-day MicroStrategy
Certified Engineer (MCE) Project after achieving certification
status in the three prerequisite Focus Area Certifications. » View MCE Program Chart |

How Do I become a MicroStrategy
Certified Engineer (MCE)?
MicroStrategy Certified MCE candidates are required to pass the following
project:
In order to attend the three-day MCE Project, candidates must first pass the following required exams within 18 months of the desired MCE Project:
The following table lists the MicroStrategy courses designed
to help MicroStrategy MCE candidates prepare for the required exams.
The above three certification programs are scheduled
continuously as a 15-day program. This program is then followed by the
three-day MCE Project to enable an individual to commit to 18 days of
training continuously to achieve MCE status. In addition, if individuals
have the prerequisite knowledge to take the exams without any formal classroom
instruction, all three exams are scheduled during a Testing Day offered
by MicroStrategy. This exam day allows an individual to take all three
exams to qualify for entry into the MCE three-day Project.
Candidates must attain 75% or higher to pass the MCE Project. If another attempt is necessary, the candidate must attain 85% or higher on subsequent retake MCE Projects. A candidate can return for up to three attempts on the MCE Project within the same 12-month period. If the candidate fails a third attempt, they must wait at least three months before they schedule another retake MCE Project. If any of the three, prerequisite focus area certifications (which are valid for 18 months) expire during this three-month waiting period, candidates must recertify in that particular focus area before they are eligible to register for the MCE Project again. If the candidate fails a fourth attempt, they must again wait three months before they are eligible to register for the MCE Project. This continues so long as they keep failing.
